Parking around town

Finding a place to park in Madison can be a difficult and expensive endeavor. Remember - each student gets a free bus pass as part of student fees. Most students find that taking the bus is the best option - that is if walking or riding your bike is not possible. If you do have to drive downtown, here are a few ways to make the commute less expensive.
Look for Park & Ride locations on the outskirts of the city. If you commute from long distances you can park in these lots for free and hop on a Metro bus that will take you around the city - remember, the bus ride is free with your student bus pass.
Another option is to park at one of the shopping malls serviced by Metro buses.
