WUN-IDENTIFIED RESEARCH COLLABORATION THEMES:
Multilingualism in the Middle Ages:
Medieval southern Italy, my focus area, is a prime region of medieval Europe to find bi- and multi-lingual individuals and documents, especially in the fields of trade and the interaction between Latin and Greek monastic foundations.

History of the Medieval Book:

Medieval Chronicle Studies:

Ph.D.s UNDER SUPERVISION:
Tehmina BHOTE: Materials and movement in medieval southern Italy.

STAFF EXCHANGES/ONLINE RESOURCE CREATION/VIDEOCONFERENCING:
I would welcome and could supervise US students working on Mediterranean topics and/or gender history in southern Europe.

I would be interested in spending time at UIUC and Washington, working with colleagues in those institutions.

My undergraduate students are developing a website of resources for Italian urban history; Tehmina Bhote is developing a database of objects produced or documented in southern Italian contexts as part of her PhD programme.

MEDIEVAL COURSES TAUGHT:
Not currently teaching course on Gender and Medieval Culture: prefer to work with students on one-to-one basis in individually negotiated topics.

Working with Medieval Charter Evidence - is the course I would like to develop eventually.
