In parts of Europe the vernacular had a strong position as a written language beside Latin. <br> <br> <font size="+1"><i>History of the Medieval Book:</i><br> History of Medieval Books is a relevant theme from many points of view. From my point of view they are interesting and good sources to the the literary milieus in which they were written.<br> <br> <font size="+1"><i>Medieval Chronicle Studies:</i><br> This is a theme which is highly relavant to most of the scholars at our Centre.
