SCHOLARLY INTERESTS: Current area(s) of research: Middle English Romance Middle English chronicles Heraldry Selected publications, recent and forthcoming: WUN-IDENTIFIED RESEARCH COLLABORATION THEMES: Multilingualism in the Middle Ages: History of the Medieval Book: I regularly teach a course on editing medieval manuscripts, and am myself actively engaged in editing Middle English texts (e.g. for the TEAMS series, and a selection of Middle English tracts on heraldry) Medieval Chronicle Studies: I have organised the first three international conferences on the medieval chronicle, established the Medieval Chronicle Society, and published two volumes of "The Medieval Chronicle" (vol. 3 is almost finished) Ph.D.s UNDER SUPERVISION: Mr Geert van Iersel, Status Symbols in Middle English romances STAFF EXCHANGES/ONLINE RESOURCE CREATION/VIDEOCONFERENCING: Yes, I am interested in exchange of PhD students, and in the development of online research resources, especially a database for detailed information on manuscripts.
