  • Teachers' Aides: an excellent place to start. This site is a collection of resources that "help take the technical out of technology for busy teachers." Includes online tutorials, examples, and lots of great ideas.

  • How to Teach with the Net: Great demonstrations of how technology can be easily integrated into the learning enviroment.

  • Language Interactive: A Trailguide to Creating Dynamic Web Pages: very useful, thorough collection of links, tutorials, and basic information about using the web in language learning, plug-ins, linked programs, javascript, CGI, java, web scripts, and "soapbox issues". Very good site.

  • A Language Professional's Guide to the World Wide Web: Article by Carolyn G. Fidelman of Northeastern University. Extremely useful information.

  • Languages on the Web: This non-profit site boasts 30,000 language links, fiction and non-fiction readings, and online lessons.

  • Teaching with the Web: Page created by Lauren Rosen of the University of Wisconsin, initiating foreign language teachers into the WWW. Ideas for using the Web, sample activities, links to other teaching resources. A must see!

  • Using the Web for Language Exercises and Readings of Authentic Texts. Article giving a detailed classification of response-feedback formats, offers many links to examples of each application and proposes criteria for the design of Web-based language practice. Some programming knowledge is required, but help is available.

  • Web Activity Directory: hints for writing web activities and links to sample lessons using the web.

  • Web Author: EASY-TO-USE templates that allow you to make various types of language exercises on the web, including self-assessment quizzes. User-friendly interface.

  • Web-Based Activities for Foreign Languages: showcase of creative uses of interactive web exercises in language pedagogy. Includes useful commentary and is organized very well.

  • Web-Based Quizzes & Games - LSS workshop page which gives an overview of online quizzing programs now available.

  • Web Idea Box - LSS workshop page with lots of web activity and resource links for several languages.

  • World Lecture Hall: Links to pages created by faculty worldwide who are using the Web to deliver class materials. For example, you will find course syllabi, assignments, lecture notes, exams, class calendars, multimedia textbooks, etc.
