Old Norse/Icelandic CALL Resources

Icelandic is spoken by the 250,000 inhabitants of Iceland. It is very similar to Old Norse, the language of the Vikings, which was brought to Iceland from Norway in the 9th century.

The Department of Scandinavian Studies at the UW-Madison offers modern Icelandic classes only occasionally. Check with them for current offerings.
