The Department offers B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degree programs in Chinese and Japanese linguistics and literature, and Chinese Thought. We also offer four years of Korean language study as well as courses in Korean literature and culture. While language training is emphasized at the undergraduate level, majors also receive training in the literature, linguistics, philosophy and history of China and Japan.
