Tenure-track Position in Chinese Religions

 

The Department of East Asian Languages and Literature at the University of Wisconsin at Madison invites applications for a tenure-track position in Chinese religions at the level of assistant professor beginning August 2007. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. or expect to have the Ph. D. by the start of the appointment. Applicants who specialize in any tradition or period will be considered, and should be able to teach both text reading courses in the department of East Asian Languages and Literature and courses in the Program in Religious Studies. In addition, this hire will be expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate level, maintain a strong research program, and contribute to the University and the field.

The UW-Madison is a Title VI National Resource Center in East Asian Studies, and is also the new home of the Journal of Chinese Religions.
