Q: Do you have a desire to learn?

    A: Mild desire.

Q: Is it important to you, why or why not?

A: Yes, when I think about it..because it's part of my culture...my roots...who I am... it would be sad to have that not be a part of me because it has been for as long as I've known. It's a tradition... a form of beauty that is uncommon, I think in Hmong society.

Q: How do you see it as part of the culture of the region you live?

A: It's known as a part of my culture...and I would like to preserve it, but it doesn't cross my mind often. As part of the American culture of the region I live, it doesn't play a prominent role.

Q: Has it contributed to your regional culture? How?

A: I think it has because it reminds me and others of exactly what culture we belong to and it gives us a distinction from others. It is a heritage that only Hmong people have and it's something that we can look at and be proud of.

Q: Why is it important for others to learn about it?

A: Because if no one learns it..it will disappear....the importance, history, culture, tradition, meaning, etc. will be lost.
