Rebecca Fischler
Rebecca Fischler joined the Afro-American Studies Department as student services
coordinator in April of 2007, after completing her M.A. in Communication Arts
at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Her focus as a scholar was on new media
studies, with a particular emphasis on hypertextually-influenced old and new
media narratives. She has a B.A. in English from Georgetown University (2003)
and a background in web design and digital video editing and production. In
her free time she makes jewelry and clothing and runs a small independent business,
ThreeAttic Designs.
